Artist's Wall

Marion Elmes

‘Wherever my paintings lead, I follow.’

Semi-abstract paintings with gestural biomorphic images.
Music-infused. Sound scribbles.
Often pumped up with primal energies.
Playful words intertwine with random marks.
Always intuited and experimental.
These are descriptions of Marion’s most recent mixed media
paintings, all of which stem from an unpredictable, free-flowing state
of being.more

Paintings by Henrietta Paine

'Kitchen Connections’ have been created in response, and in honour of the next generation of young adults, at their time of stepping out into the world. The paintings mark a time when small meet ups were punctuated with intervals of lockdown and large parties were illegal, (save exclusively for our government, it transpires).

Hope triumphs over adversity

Ruth Bateman

‘I believe in Hope, in unity. I paint intuitively and with expression’

Ruth has a primal connection to wilderness. She explores the landscape with her body: rock-climbing, mountaineering, cycling, feeling the earth rumble through her. This bodily experience of landscape is reflected in the kinetic way Ruth creates her paintings. Inner and outer landscapes collide, carving a way through dark and often confusing times, seeking the light that offers the beacon of hope, a celebration of difference. Sometimes working on enormous bedsheets, she allows herself to be entirely instinctive... more

Artist's Wall

Graham Fish

We are exhibiting a biro drawing by Graham which will take up the whole of the artist's wall. It took him 7months and used up 18 biros. He says “I like drawing and began using biro by accident one family holiday. Over the years the drawings have increased in size just to add to the challenge.”

This is a small detail from the drawing. more
