The Plough welcomes Thomas Rodney O’Neal, an American born artist living in the United Kingdom. He first refined the craft of image making through hand-drawing and watercolour rendering, in the studio and plein air, during his rigorous architectural training. It was during this training that he discovered the possibilities of photography as another means to make impressions of the world around him. 20 : 20 INTERNATIONAL PRINT EXCHANGE
The Plough welcomes Hot Bed Press's popular touring Exhibition
Hot Bed Press runs one of the largest print exchanges in the world! Each year between 500 and 700 artists from print workshops, print collectives and university print departments across the UK exchange prints (all 20cm x 20cm) through The 20:20 Print Exchange. Since 2009 over 176,000 prints have been exchanged and exhibited across the UK as part of our annual touring Exhibition.
The Plough is delighted to be hosting the 20 : 20 Print Exchange in 2025.

Pupils of Great Torrington School and Bluecoat School showcase mixed media artworks in the Gallery
The Plough is delighted to host work by pupils of GTS and Bluecoat Primary School as we open the Gallery door for our Annual Schools Art Exhibition. Showcasing the amazing creativity and artistic talents of pupils across all years we welcome the whole community to come and celebrate the creative talents of our local young people! Vibrant, diverse original ideas covering a variety of themes will feature.
All are welcome to a special opening event this year on Wednesday 18th June 6.30 - 8.30pm in the Gallery.

The Plough Gallery is committed to creating inclusive opportunities in the arts and ensuring that all members of our community are represented and celebrated.
We are excited to announce an Open Call opportunity exclusively for LGBTQ+ artists in celebration of the Bideford and Barnstaple PRIDE marches happening in 2025 to mark Pride month. The marches are being organised by Sunrise Diversity - full details here

Claire Gladstone
Claire Gladstone's research is concerned with how we process and store memories with their inevitable fallibility, as it considers the role photography plays within systems of memory and truth.
An integral element of Claire's Arts practice is the co-ordination of community based, socially engaged projects, collaborations and mail works.
Claire holds a Masters in Fine Art, from Arts University Plymouth where she is Studio Coordinator for fine print and works from her studio in West Devon.

Len Green
A dynamic and inspiring solo show by Abstract painter Len Green, whose colourful large-scale paintings reflect his musical influences, having grown up in the dancehalls of Wigan - birthplace of Northern Soul!
Born in the North West of England, Green Studied Foundation Art at Wigan School of Art, moving on to a BA (Hons) Fine Art (Painting) at Manchester University. He then completed an MA in Fine Art (Painting) at Manchester.
