Based on the edge of Dartmoor, the 8-12 strong Mariners Away was formed 14 years ago, long before the current global craze for sea-shanties became popular. Their name is derived from The Mariners’ Way, a fabled ancient route used by sailors to travel between Bideford and Dartmouth.
