The long awaited and highly anticipated performance of 'Little Lily Harley' by The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company at 7pm on Fri 9 July is changing venues.
Due to an occurence of covid at Tapeley Park, the show will now take place at Yarnscombe Playing Fields (EX31 3LW), located between Great Torrington and Barnstaple. The performance will go ahead in the open air, adjacent to the Village Hall and carpark. Takeaway light refreshments and a bar will be available from the Village Hall from 5.30pm. It is the only South West performance by this highly inventive and creative company whose original show tells the early life story of Charlie Chaplin. 'The Rudes' as they are known, have been visiting North Devon for many years and audiences of all ages are assured of a highly entertaining world class event with multiple moments to savour.
The play, with live music, has already received rave reviews from audience members with comments like 'fantastic' 'wonderful', 'amazing' and 'pure magic'.
Plough Director Richard Wolfenden-Brown said 'we have learnt to expect the unexpected this last year and it has been heartening how another venue has rallied round to make space available at very short notice. The show will indeed go on!'
