During a state of emergency, an inventor sends a self-building robot to care for his father in his dying days. But as it gets creative with the rules by which it’s governed, it starts to pose a threat to the whole of humanity.
During lockdown, when writer Jody Medland was told that his dad's cancer was terminal, he responded by writing Silo, a bitter-sweet play that explores many challenging themes. Insufferable loss, the emotional hurdles of male-on-male relationships, and the pros and cons of what humans hope to achieve with technology. Silo is a noteworthy play that will have you laughing, crying, and analysing what's important to you long after leaving the theatre.
