Satish Kumar – Radical Love
at ThePlough@Resurgence, Hartland
To see peace in our lifetimes, we have to practice love. This is the radical message of this talk with environmental activist Satish Kumar, which helps us find ways to love ourselves, others, and all beings on planet Earth – even those we may find unlovable.
This talk will draw on Satish's lifetime of experience as a husband, parent, activist, and educator. It is an exploration of love in all its forms, from romantic love to love for one's family and community to love for the planet and all beings. Like an unfolding metta meditation, the talks expands our notions of love to its most sublime universal state.
Now in his late 80s, Satish has devoted his life to campaigning for ecological regeneration and social justice. He is a world-renown author and international speaker, founder of The Resurgence Trust and Editor Emeritus of Resurgence & Ecologist – a change-making magazine he edited for over 40 years.
