“The title for the exhibition is taken from a novel by Nigel Watts. My work raises
questions about conflict, uncertainty and impermanence in what we see, feel, and
believe. In the portraits I focus my interest on the intimacy of family and relation-
ships and my recent paintings of Greenpeace activists address broader concerns about the
environment and our freedom to protect it.”
