ARTSIECOAST

An Exhibition by Devon-based artist Rachel Shute

Rachel Shute’s coastal inspired artwork evokes the essence of a calm nostalgia for a time growing up on the North Devon Coast.

Constantly evolving her art practice from her studio gallery space, Rachel explores the possibilities of painting and drawing using paper, canvas and IPad Pro surface, with the final artwork presented as original pieces and archival artprints.

Rachel graduated from Kingston University with a Degree in Illustration, living and working in Wapping , London, as a Freelance Illustrator for National magazines and Newspapers during the 1990s before becoming an Art and Design Teacher at The Park Community School, Barnstaple.

Ten years ago Rachel relaunched her illustration business by creating Artsiecoast.

Building her small business brand with creative collaborations such as The Burton Art Gallery, Johns Delis Appledore and Instow and The Porthminster Beach Cafe , St Ives, Rachel also exhibited locally at RHS Garden Rosemoor, Torrington alongside teaching creative workshops.

Rachel recently opened her own little art gallery to showcase and sell her artwork, cards and handmade gifts inspired by the North Devon Coast.

Artsiecoast Gallery is an independent, family run art gallery and studio space in Westward Ho! North Devon.

Visit Artsiecoast Gallery at:  36 Nelson Road , Westward Ho! North Devon EX39 1LQ.

All Welcome.
