3 Daft Monkeys 25th anniversary double set show

Based in Cornwall but reaching across continents, 3 Daft Monkeys are a genre-defying folk-world four-piece powerhouse. This independent band brings an original and electrifying mix of Eastern and Western influences to their music, crafting a bold, vibrant blend of styles.

Marking an incredible 25 years of 3 Daft Monkeys this year, the band will be celebrating on each night of the tour with a unique double set.

Mirroring the arrangement of their brand new ‘best of’ CD, “Ebb and Flow”, the first shorter set will be exploring the band’s more reflective and atmospheric songs, some of which will be performed 'live' for the very first time. The second set will bring the revelry and excitement of a classic 3 Daft Monkeys upbeat festival set, featuring all your favourite fiddle-driven songs, memories and anthems from the last quarter of a century.

The band experiment with modern storytelling in a playful way, creating songs full of emotion and infectious energy. Combining Celtic and Cornish roots with fiery fiddle tunes, Balkan and Romani influences, punk-style sass and irresistible global rhythms, they whip audiences into a frenzy of emotions with every performance.

3 Daft Monkeys recently released their highly-acclaimed album Information Camouflage, which has been described as ‘an optimistic, life-affirming whirlwind of earthy goodness’ (Spiral Earth) and ‘an anarchic mix of punk-faced Cornish folk simmered in a rich sauce of Balkan exotica, full of wonders and mysteries’ (SLAP mag). The band funded the album through a huge independent crowdfunding campaign, showing how deeply loved they are by their ever-growing global fan base.

Beloved on the festival scene, they’ve played main stages across Europe including Glastonbury (Avalon and Glade), Lorient Festival Interceltique (FR), Beautiful Days, Sidmouth Folk Festival, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Boomtown, Fairport’s Cropredy Convention, Bearded Theory, Costa Del Folk Ibiza, and Folk Segovia (ES), alongside support slots for The Levellers, Hawkwind, Oysterband and The Cat Empire.

In the UK, 3 Daft Monkeys have been personally invited to perform live sessions on both Bob Harris and Mark Radcliffe’s BBC Radio 2 shows, with Mark Radcliffe hailing their live show as one of his Highlights of Glastonbury.

This is a unique opportunity to experience both aspects of this multi-award-winning independent act. Creating and performing dynamic, rampageous, powerful headline performances of their completely original songs with endless energy and enthusiasm, their connection with audiences is immediate – blending humour, warmth, and an irresistible invitation to dance.
