Welcome to 1600s London as we share music inspired by the blazing passionate words of John Donne.
Celebrate the astonishment of life and love with Roxana Gundry , professional lutenist, and Swimbridge Consort with a collection of lute songs, poems, viol and choral music from Donnie’s contemporaries to the present day.

ROXANA GUNDRY - LUTE

Roxana Gundry studied Lute with Diana Poulton, Nigel North and David Miller. She formed the Roundelay Duo with Oliver Brookes with whom she travelled extensively for many years giving concerts and workshops of medieval and renaissance music on a variety of period instruments.  Her tutor for the Cittern With My Strings of Small Wire is published by the Lute Society and she has several books and CD’s published by Mel Bay. As a soloist the lute has taken Roxana to the USA, Australia, South Africa and all over Europe.
Roxana currently plays Bandora in the Lachrimae Consort and Theorbo with No Shrinking Violets as well as continuing to enjoy playing for singers of lute song and other early music ensembles.
