Creative Movers: A Creative Dance Taster Workshop with Katherine Lockett-Clarke

This exciting creative dance workshop with performance and dance practitioner Katherine, will give children of 8 years and under the opportunity to try out the new Creative Movers class which will be starting in September. 

Creative Movers is a safe and encouraging space where children learn about different dance styles, how to express themselves with dance and movement, how to create dance and physical theatre, and develop confidence with musicality, rhythm, movement, choreography and performance! 

With exercises and philosophy from yoga, contemporary dance, physical theatre, dance theatre, jazz, musical theatre, modern dance and more this is a fun filled and dynamic class suitable for children with dance experience and for those who have never danced before. 

There will be optional opportunities for public performances, as well as making friends and having lots of fun along the way. 

This taster workshop will introduce children to the class. We will be warming up with yoga and movement, playing dance games and having a go at some choreography and dance creation!
