A Zarzo basket is a type of willow basket originating from Spain. It is known for its distinctive criss-cross weave and elegant shape, making it suitable for displaying fruit, flowers, or vegetables.
Join experienced tutor Jane on a journey through the process to create your own Zarzo basket to take home!
Jane's background is in arts and crafts. Having studied art, design and furniture making, worked in traditional timber framing and dabbled in stone masonry and stained glass, she then became hooked on basket making, mainly learning from the much respected Gloucestershire basket maker Sheila Wynter. In 2022 she won 3rd prize in the Basketry of the Year Award.
This workshop is part of The Plough's Autumn creative workshop programme. All abilities are welcome so come and have a go!
