About Lucy.

Lucy is a local willow artist, basket maker, and grower, who sells work in South-West galleries and at craft fairs. Having caught the weaving bug about 10 years ago on a short course Lucy went on to learn an extensive range of traditional and modern weaving skills via a City and Guilds in Basketry (2021 – 2024).

Lucy is passionate to pass on her skills and knowledge with teaching this wonderful, relaxing craft which is steeped in tradition. The willow Lucy uses is locally grown, sustainable, and cut by her, or sourced from the only commercial willow growers left in the UK in Somerset.

Running time 420 minutes
