The Plough is excited to host Contemporary Artists and Photogrpaher Rob Franksdad for an engaging show which will be on display on the Artist's Wall throughout October:

Everything is connected! (The shared nature of all things)

2 Oct - 1 Nov 2025

"Rather than present a "series" of images around a "theme"  I have chosen to show a broad selection of work which I feel  more accurately describes my process and approach to photography and Everything!

First and foremost my greatest pleasure in photography is the act of taking photos.

In any situation , be it outside in nature, in an urban environment, or in my own home, as soon as I pick up my camera I feel much more connected and aware of my surroundings,  time slows,  my perspective sharpens and I feel generally more switched on and less distracted.

I shoot manually which leads me to my second motivation.

Achieving the  exposure I'm looking for in camera with ever changing light conditions and subject matter is very challenging and one has to think and act quickly or the shot may be lost. One has to be present and "in the moment". It is the perpetual learning aspect of photography that drives my passion.

Thirdly, the pleasure and excitement of reviewing  the days work, picking out favourites. I find this most relaxing and absorbing.

My hope in showing this work is that it inspires others to connect more deeply with their surroundings through photography.

Beauty is everywhere. Anything and everything is subject matter.

Everything is connected!

I don't feel it is necessary to spend a lot of money on expensive kit to fully enjoy photography in this way, in fact most of my work is taken on the camera that is always in my pocket (an old secondhand Sony rx100 compact )" - Rob Franksdad

There is a Preview evening open to all, being held on Saturday 4th October 2025 6.30pm - 8.30pm.

This is a great opportunity to share thoughts and responses with the artist in person.

ALL WELCOME!

Running time 360 minutes
