Raventales present 'Dauntless Devonians'

The stories Michael Dacre tells in this programme are all quite true - but they're so strange they sound just like folk-tales.

Some are attested as historical fact, while others are within living memory, for he collected them orally in the Okehampton area forty years ago.

The tales are accompanied by Wendy Dacre singing 'folk-songs' and hymns, mostly written or collected by the Revd. Baring-Gould and one is illustrated by a 'Crankie', a moving picture-scroll.
