A Valentine’s Weekend of Jazz, Cabaret & Swing
Step into the smoky, intoxicating world of Moscow Drug Club this Valentine’s weekend…
Named after the B.B. Gabor song about an underground jazz club during the Cold War, Moscow Drug Club create a wonderfully eccentric musical world where 1930s Berlin cabaret, French musette, Latin grooves, tango, gypsy jazz and New Orleans swing collide.
Imagine stumbling into a dimly lit European bar late at night, where Django Reinhardt, Tom Waits and Jacques Brel have gathered for an after-hours jam. Expect smoky melodies, infectious rhythms, dark humour, romantic songs and stories that take you somewhere altogether more intriguing.
The band combine their own original material with songs from the likes of Jacques Brel, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and Eartha Kitt, creating a rich and theatrical live experience that is as much about atmosphere as it is about extraordinary musicianship.
And what better time to enter their world than Valentine’s weekend?
Join us at The Plough for an intimate cabaret-style evening, with tables and chairs creating the perfect setting for a night of music, drinks, romance and a little bit of mischief.
Whether you're celebrating with someone special, enjoying a night out with friends, or simply looking for something wonderfully different, Moscow Drug Club promises an intoxicating evening you won't soon forget.
Come for the music. Stay for the atmosphere. Lose yourself in the Moscow Drug Club.
