Get ready for a night of classic new wave and post-punk brilliance as XTC’s legendary drummer Terry Chambersbrings his band EXTC back on the road.
Formed in 2019 by Chambers, EXTC celebrates the extraordinary music of one of Britain’s most influential bands. The name is used with the approval of XTC frontman Andy Partridge, and the band brings the energy, wit and infectious melodies of XTC roaring back to the stage.
Emerging from the explosion of post-punk and new wave in the late 1970s, XTC quickly established themselves as one of the era’s most original and inventive bands. They toured the world alongside the likes of The Police and Talking Heads, building a devoted following along the way.
But in 1982, XTC made the decision to stop touring, leaving generations of fans desperate to hear those songs performed live once again.
Now, Terry Chambers is back behind the kit — and he's bringing the songs with him.
Expect a hit-packed set featuring Making Plans for Nigel, Senses Working Overtime, The Mayor of Simpleton, Generals and Majors, Sgt. Rock (Is Going to Help Me), Love on a Farmboy’s Wages and many more.
