The Lost Sound – Dartmoor Folk choir are an auditioned, 40 strong, mixed voice choir drawing singers from across South Devon. They have built a strong and loyal following around Devon and Cornwall for their beautifully crafted arrangements, powerful and expressive singing and their ability to deeply connect with their songs.

They have supported 'Show Of Hands' on Devon tour dates, at their 25th anniversary concert at The Royal Albert Hall and recently at their farewell concert at Exeter Cathedral. They have sung at Sidmouth Folk festival, St Ives September Festival, Dart music festival and regularly sell out at their own concerts and their recordings have been played on Folk radio stations. (Listen via their website)

Their new programme, 'Country Matters'  takes the audience on a journey through the seasons, the hardships of living on the land and the joys of ancient traditions, the ending of old ways and the excitement of planting the next harvest. With songs ranging from raw pagan sun salutations to contemporary messages that urge us to keep our land pure and sweet and green; this is a celebratory, reflective and stirring set of songs. Using full choir, both male and female ensembles, quartets and mixed ensembles, The Lost Sound bring their amazing voices and love of rich harmony to The Plough.

Running time 120 minutes
