British-American-Nigerian guitarist and vocalist Toby Foyeh enjoys massive success in the USA where he is now based. He returns for a short UK tour with his Orchestra Africa.

Following his recent successful London show, this will be his first UK tour performing in London, Manchester, and Great Torrington after many years of performing worldwide.

Recent  CD Releases include African Festival 2021 and Pirates of Africa 2019

The Toby Foyeh group takes you on a musical journey from Africa to Europe and America, where traditional Yoruba music, Highlife and Afrobeat meet Pop, Rock and Jazz with scintillating guitars

Though absorbing various western elements, the music is fresh and original. His band has performed in the USA, Canada, Japan, Europe and the Caribbean, entrancing audiences around the world and appearing at major festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival, Nigaata, Japan, 17 International Jazz Festivals including Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Detroit, Syracuse, Washington DC, Jamaica, Grenada, Bahamas, Curacao and Malta EU etc plus many  Universities and Performing Arts Centres. The band is very visual on stage, with colourful costumes, and call and response singing in English and Yoruba

The band's live performances are very exciting, portraying a new musical vision of Africa, songs in English and Yoruba, scintillating guitars, where West African Guitar music meets Jazz and Rock all on top of African rhythms. A mini acoustic break, where Toby plays the flute, a second instrument he took up as a child punctuates the set. With the flute you’ll go on a mystical musical journey to traditional Yorubaland and back again. With the tour Toby treats the audience to an 8 piece group and an intimate performance. This may be the future of African music

Tonight they play from various CDs - African Festival, Pirates of Africa, Lagos Ilu Eko,  Jalolo and Here I Come.

Running time 120 minutes
