Introduction to Acrylics Daytime Workshop

Tutor: John Piper

This one day workshop will take you through the basics of painting with acrylic paints.

After looking at equipment, paints and painting media you will then be taken through the process of creating a simple acrylic artwork in easy to follow steps with demonstrations of techniques along the way.

This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing to progress with the medium.

All equipment provided.

Please bring a suitable protective apron or old clothes. 

Cost is £55 per person

COVID-19 considerations

  • On arrival at St Anne’s everyone must wait outside until invited in by the venue manager/workshop provider. 
  • The building is closed to the general public, only those attending organized events may enter.
  • Social distancing to be adhered to.
  • All attendees must sanitise their hands on entering the building and follow the instructions of the venue manager/workshop provider.
  • Track & Trace register to be filled in.
  • Anyone showing signs of Covid-19 symptoms should not attend and will not be allowed into the building.
  • Once seated attendees must not move around the room and must stay in or by their seat at all times unless directed by the workshop provider.
  • Only one person to use the toilet area at a time.
  • Paper towels are provided (please dispose of in the pedal bins).
  • Antibacterial liquid soap provided in the soap dispensers.
  • Sanitiser for toilet seats will be provided (please spray onto tissue and wipe seat before and after use. This will ensure double sanitising). 
  • Patrons to bring their own refreshments.
  • Attendees must wear a mask.

  • Book online for all your group (max 6, all from the same family) so we can seat you together
  • Current regulations allow a booking to include people from one household only (support bubbles permitted)
  • No paper tickets. We'll have your name at the door.
  • Unwell? Stay home. Have a refund
  • On arrival, scan the QR Code Poster
  • We’ll take your temperature. Over 37.5 degrees? Have a refund
  • Wear a mask
  • Follow the one way system
  • Observe social distancing.
  • Cabaret seating downstairs
  • Balcony seating in spaced-out rows with reduced capacity
  • Café/Bar closed: Bring your own drinks. Make a corkage donation!

  • No intervals
  • Use hand sanitiser: available throughout The Plough
  • Extra cleaning measures in place before each show.
