This piece of theatre, supported by Arts Council England, has been adapted by storyteller Gcina Mphlophe, from a Cameroon creation myth and a southern African tale about the birth of stories. The show contains English and African language. It represents a return to his roots for Puppetcraft’s Artistic Director, John Roberts who was born in southern Africa. The show features Puppetcraft’s hallmarks of sumptuous staging, beautifully crafted wood and wire puppets inspired by African crafts, vivid storytelling, and music specially commissioned from African musicians and played live on original, African instruments.
